ABOUT US

We owned a restaurant named AKIRA for 30 years, it was a town favorite where everybody would celebrate birthdays, anniversaries and every night dinners. It was a full teppanyaki (7 grills) and sushi restaurant. We closed our doors during the pandemic because it wasn’t sustainable with indoor eating restrictions.

We opened Kyoto Japanese Grill to provide the same high quality food our customers are used to while changing the typical teppanyaki meal, for most people this style of food was not always the most convenient because of the time commitment involved with the show and waiting times.

Their food is so convenient, delicious, fast, and unlike when it's cooked in front of you at teppanyaki.. all portions of the meal are HOT. Grateful to have them open shop in southwest and serving our community. Prices are reasonable and definitely have been a reoccurring customer.

I was curious about Kyoto after passing their drive through on the way to river park. I finally stopped in and I'm so glad that I did. Their beef was charred to perfection, smoky, tender, and flavorful! The portions were generous enough to share. I will definitely be back!

It was my first time in this restaurant. I wanted to rate them 4.5 stars if there is but there's no option for that. :) Anyway, I loved what we ordered- tempura sushi and steak with rice. The sauce options on the steak was so good, at first I tried it separately then I tried mixing it and it was more better. I also loved how the rice and veggies were cooked! It was not oily at all. I hope they offer ramen in the future. I recommend this place.
